When you are starting a city, do you plan ahead based on the future incorporation of town hall circles of particular residences? or do you keep service buildings within the town hall circles along with residences? - and do you try to maximize the electricity coverage to cover town hall circles of engineer and investor residences? - including dual lines of train tracks too? The circular town hall radius vs the diamond power coverage along a rectangular grid with train lines going through drives me particularly nutty. The most common problems I usually face involve building blocks of residences and services around Town Halls and Power Plants. I've been playing both campaigns and sandbox games variously in recent weeks. So I restart and I restart and I learn how to solve problems before they start and I have checked out city layouts of various sorts for inspiration. I've been getting into rabbit-holes of "surely there would have been a better way to do this, this is impractical, this is inefficient, this is excessive and maybe unnecessary for building nice and working cities. I've not yet touched Tourist Season or The High Life at all. or NPC factions because I already find the production and supply micromanagement to be challenge enough without naval combat or going to war against the A.I. All technologies up to late investors unlocked, late Obreros, Airships and Gas power plants, Docklands with world class reefers, a bit of playing with the palace, settling much of the 5 sessions but being cautious about going to war against any A.I. The furthest I ever got in older now deleted savegames was large cities with farmers, workers, artisans, engineers, investors and a few scholars. But you can always try.I've been having frequent "restart-itis" for weeks now, playing with different approaches to early game in preparation for late-game. I don't think you can fit the whole zoo or museum in there, if you collect most sets (or make it via research) they take up a lot of space. 140 is big but not that big if you also want some wings and not just a straight wall. Putting them in a square leaves big gaps. The layout is indeed to fit them as close together as possible. Go with what you get and later you can get some extra ones from the research institute. I don't remember the names but there are items that give champagne and others for extra income. With the bonus of the palace to public buildings and powerplants you need very few in total. Near the shore and the oil harbour I use a few normal power plants. I try to give some more answers but not close to anno right now so can't check things. There a zoo or a museum maybe? I want to have kind of a rectangular/square Really gauge how big 140 wings make the palace be, is it possible to put in Have seen on some screenshots the palace encompassing the world fair and I can’t Halls as close as possible to each other? What is this honey layout you are speaking of? :D is it like putting town Island (with a few engineers maybe), is there any new bonuses that are worth Workforce is moot for investors and I plan to make Crown Falls an investor only Town halls in investors island was for that +2 attractiveness. I played the campaign in the vanilla no DLC version and the only thing used The layout I posted has some oil plants too). I have some questions though about some of the tips you gave me.įrom what I understand, the gas is pretty scarce and therefore you can'tĮven get all of Crown Falls running with gas plants (which would explain why You can of course move some buildings but this can give a sketch of the layout. Then start filling it with houses and other things. In general I first cover an area with town Halls (honey pattern) then place a power plant and bank. They give extra workforce with the palace and can hold some really powerful items. if you have the influence then cover everything with town Halls. (Season 3 adds some extra buildings, shopping and restaurants) Other buildings a easier to put in between. if you go for a lot of investors then I mainly build around the bank and powerplant. Trains can't cover everything or it quickly becomes a mess. The first time we build crown falls we could remove half the power plants after a while because the palace gave such a boost. The palace can give big boosts to the range of public buildings. I'm not sure there is a good city layout for crown falls with the palace.
